Spain 03/2025

The Erasmus+ program entitled "Professional Readiness with 21st century Skills in Esperino EPAL" was attended by two teachers, Anastasia Rigaki, English teacher and contact person of the project and Stella Katharaki, Geek and Literature teacher from Monday 24 to Friday 28 March 2025. The program was held in Andalusia, Spain, specifically in Alhaurin El Grande.

During the week, the teachers had the opportunity to visit the IES Antonio Gala secondary school, which serves approximately 1,000 students of the wider area and offers a General and Vocational Education Curriculum. They observed the school's operation and the innovative teaching methods of their Spanish colleagues, spoke with the school's administration, they exchanged views and observed several similarities but also some notable differences in relation to the Greek educational system. Moreover, they had the opportunity to attend the special skills classes that the municipality offers to the unemployed and the literacy classes that it offers to senior citizens.

The motto of Esperino EPAL Rethymnou is 'It is never too late' and accounts not only for the students but for its teachers to expand their knowledge and experience!" as well!!
