DISSEMINATION OF THE MOBILITIES TO TEACHERS AND STUDENTS

On Tuesday, March 18th, the group of students and teachers who participated in the trip that took place in early February to Portugal as part of the Erasmus+ program shared their rich experiences with us! We all got a taste of what our students saw, heard, learned and enjoyed. They told us about the similarities and differences they noticed compared to Greece, the relationships they developed with students from different places, what excited them and what troubled them.
Our students expressed their gratitude in particular to our school principal, Mrs. Chrysa Kapnia, the head of the Erasmus+ program, Mrs. Anastasia Rigaki, as well as their accompanying teachers, Mrs. Rebecca Gaspari and Mrs. Maria Tsirka, for the excellent organization of the visit and the personal time and effort they put into its implementation.
Τhis is just the beginning of many visits to foreign countries within the framework of Erasmus+ programs, which will provide our current and future students with knowledge and experiences in their learning subject and in general!

On Thursday 15th May the participants of the 2nd mobility which was job shadowing activity organised a meeting in which they disseminated the good pactices of their host school. Ms Anastasia Rigaki, English teacher and contact person of the project with Ms Styliani Katharaki, Greek and Literature teacher visited IES Antonio Gala in Alhaurin el Grande in south Spain.
In the meeting they informed their Greek colleagues about the  general classes for International Baccalaeureate and the high standard of the vocational courses of the school as well as the inclusion classes for pupils with special needs. A variety of innovative tools for teaching were practised and the oganisation of the Spanish secondary education was analysed.
Moreover, they explained how the municipality of Alhaurin organises special courses to empower the unemployed with new skills and the elderly citizens with literacy and digital skills.

On Monday, March 30th, 2026, the results of the two mobilities that took place this year at our school within the framework of the Erasmus+ program entitled “Professional readiness with 21st century skills in Evening EPAL” were presented to teachers and students of our school.
Specifically, a presentation was made to the teachers about the Austrian Vocational Education System by the school’s Director, Ms. Kapnia Chrysa, and the teacher, Ms. Papadaki Athina, who visited a Vocational High School in the town of Eisenerz from March 2nd to 6th. The similarities and differences with the Greek educational system were highlighted and the teachers were impressed  regarding the operation of the school, the role of the teaching staff and the equipment that the students have at their disposal for their more complete education.
Afterwards, the students and teachers who participated in the mobility in Schkeuditz in Germany from 2nd to 6th February presented to the 1st and 3rd grade students of the school the experiences and knowledge they gained from their trip and training in the excellent facilities of the Vitalis organization. They described the complex in which they stayed, the characteristics of the training they received, their cooperation with the trainers and with the students from other schools with whom they trained, as well as the visits and guided tours that took place in the historic center of Leipzig, the BMW factory and Berlin during this week.
The impressions that both briefings left on the teachers and students were the best and helped us to realize the importance and value of our school’s participation in Erasmus+ programs.
